Lineage: Noble Family - House of Capet, also called the House of France

1/25/2017 -Note (Jody Gray): What I have learned since I first published this Blog Post has made it obsolete; however, I'm not deleting it because there are people who have used it (have it in their Family Trees) -I begin with the Robertians - instead of beginning with Charibert, I'm starting with Lambert II because he's the first "verifiable" ancestor (refer to the Blog Post for the Robertians). At the end of this lineage is a link to a Blog Post which lists all related Blog Posts - Sorry, for the confusion...
Lineage: Royal House of Capet [“Seat” - Capital, Paris] begins with the Ancestors of the Robertians (refer to the link at the end of this page)
  1. Lambert II aka Lanbertus, Count of Hesbaye. b. 670.
  2. Robert aka Rutpert I, Count of Hesbaye. b. 697.
  3. Thuringbert aka Turnicbertus, Count of Hesbaye. b. 735
  4. Robert II, Count of Hesbaye. b. 770
  5. Robert III aka Rutpert III, Count of Worms. b. 800
  6. Robert “the Strong”, Margrave in Neustria. b. 830 Founded the Noble family, Robertians in 853. -the year he was commissioned by Charles the Bald, King of West Francia to supervise the administration in parts of his dominions too far for him to frequent personal visits; Robert's primary duty was to defend Neustria from Viking and Breton raids.
  7. Robert I. King of the Franks. b. 866. He married Beatrice de Vermandois, daughter of Herbert I. Count of Vermandois. m1: Aelis of Maine. m2: Beatrice de Vermandois. He was killed in battle 6/15/923 in Soissons, France.
  8. Hugh “the Great” Duke of the Franks and Count of Paris. b. 898. m1: Judith of Maine; she d. 925, childless. m2: Eahild, she d. 938, childless m3: Hedwige of Saxony. He died 6/15/956; he was the last of the Robertians; his son Hugh founded the House of Capet in 987.
  9. Hugh Capet "the White" King of the Franks. b. 941. was the first Capetian King of France; crowned in 987, he founded the House of Capet aka Capetian Dynasty. m: Adelaide of Aquitaine. d. 996, buried in St. Denis, France.
  10. Robert II “the Pious” King of France. b. 972. m1: Rozala of Italy; divorced, 997. m2: Bertha of Burgundy; annulled. m3: Constance of Arles. He d. 1031, buried in St. Denis, France.
  11. Henry I. King of the Franks. b. 1008. m: Anne of Kiev, Russia, daughter of Yaroslaw I. 'the Wise' Grand Prince of Kiev and Ingegerd Olofsdotter of Sweden. d. 1060, buried in St. Denis, France.
  12. Hugh Magnus de Crepi, Count of Vermandois. b. 1057. m: Adelaide de Vermandois; daughter of Herbert IV Count of Vermandois and Adele of Valois; by right of marriage Hugh became Count of Vermandois. He was one of the leaders of the First Crusade. He died on 10/18/1101 in Taurus, Asia Minor.
  13. Elizabeth aka Isabel de Vermandois. b. 1085. m1: Robert de Beaumont 1st Earl of Leicester, son of Roger de Beaumont and Adeline de Meulan. m2: William de Warenne 2nd Earl of Surrey, son of William de Warenne Earl of Surrey and Gundrada. d. 1131.
